Game Jerseys (Fall & Spring)

Last year (2018), in an effort to reduce fees and offset the rise in field rentals, the York Region Lions Board decided to take jerseys back at the end of each season. After overwhelming input from our members, we have adjusted fees to offset the cost of jerseys and will offer reduced fees for those players that a) take their jersey back from last year and b) are able to wear that jersey for the rep season (and therefore do not require a new jersey). After the current 2019 season, players are expected to keep their jerseys and bring them back for their next season.

Junior vs. Senior players

As we all know, each team is made up of younger and older players. As has been the custom of ours and many clubs, senior players have first pick at jersey numbers. In the event a junior player has their own jersey, and the same number as a senior player, the junior player will borrow a jersey from the club for the season, and have the benefit of paying the lower registration fee.
