We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the Spring 2024 tackle season for the York Region Lions Football Association. Below, you will find crucial information regarding age groups, registration fees, and additional requirements. Please read carefully and use the provided link at the bottom of this message to complete the registration process.

AGE GROUPS:

1. U10 - Players born in 2014, 2015
2. U12 - Players born in 2012, 2013
3. U14 - Players born in 20010 2011 - CLOSED
4. U16 - Players born in 2008, 2009 - CLOSED 
5. U18+ - Players born in 2005, 2006,2007 (OSFL limits 10 players born in 2005 per each game roster)
6. U19 Women's - Players born in 2006,2007,2008

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

• Register early to take advantage of our payment plan: First payment upon registration, second payment due March 31st, and third payment due April 30th.

2023 SPRING REGISTRATION FEES:

1. Lions Registration ($900): Register Here

   • Note: No cheques will be accepted for registration. All fees must be paid in advance of equipment being issued.

2. Purchase Football Canada Player Insurance (approx $45):

   • Insurance must be purchased before contact practices begin. Visit Football Ontario's website,

     At Step 5, Select York Football Association
     
     Complete as prompted. 
     
     Be sure you save your Football Ontario Registration number
     (this will also be emailed to you in your confirmation from Football Ontario) 
     
     Save your FO# as proof of insurance.
     You will need to provide this when registering with us. 

3. Identification Upload:

   • If you were unable to upload identification online, a photocopy of identification (passport or birth certificate + health card with photo) is required. Registration will not be considered complete without proper paperwork and identification.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• NEW - Equipment Deposit: A $500 deposit cheque is required when a player is loaned equipment. The cheque will be held by the club Treasurer and returned once all equipment is returned clean and unaltered at the end of the player’s season.
