2026 Spring Tackle Registration

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the Spring 2026 tackle season for the York Region Lions Football Association.
Below, you will find crucial information regarding age groups, registration fees, and additional requirements. Please read carefully and use the provided link at the bottom of this message to complete the registration process.

AGE GROUPS:

• Age Groups

  • U10: Players born in 2016, 2017

  • U12: Players born in 2014, 2015

  • U14: Players born in 2012, 2013

  • U16: Players born in 2010, 2011

  • U18+: Players born in 2007, 2008, 2009 (OSFL limits: max 10 players born in 2007 per game roster)

DO THIS STEP FIRST 

• Purchase Football Ontario Player Insurance (approx. $45):

Insurance must be purchased before contact practices begin. Visit Football Ontario's website:

https://footballontario.net/national-registry/

• Select 2026 Player Registration
• Choose Tackle Player --> Quick Link
• Complete the forms and steps
• At Step 5, select York Football Association
• Complete as prompted

Be sure to save your Football Ontario Registration number.

• This will also be emailed to you in your confirmation from Football Ontario.
• Save your FO# as proof of insurance.
• You will need to provide this when registering with us.

Identification Upload:

If you cannot upload your identification online, a photocopy of your identification (passport or birth certificate + health card with photo) is required.
Registration will not be considered complete without proper paperwork and identification.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• NEW - Equipment Deposit: A $500 deposit cheque is required when a player is loaned equipment. The cheque will be held by the club Treasurer and returned once all equipment is returned clean and unaltered at the end of the player’s season.
